Welcome to hamutzim
We invite you to be part of a vibrant, local food ecosystem.
hamutzim—the Hebrew word for pickles—is also the name of our kitchen, where we craft seasonal dishes and lacto-fermented foods using organic vegetables from nearby farms.
We proudly source our produce from:
Weaver's Way Farm, Lancaster Farm Fresh Co-Op, Sunny Harvest Farm, Sunny Acre Farm, Sorbello Girls Market, and ACRe Farm.
Together, we’re building a table rooted in tradition, community, and care.
Lacto-Ferments (Pickles!)
Fire, Water, Earth, Air
At hamutzim, we work with the elements—fire, water, earth, and air—to bring out the deep potential of food.
We use ancient cooking techniques such as fermenting, souring, soaking, and smoking—methods that not only honor tradition, but also transform ingredients in deeply meaningful ways.
These time-honored practices:
Enhance nutritional bioavailability
Support natural food preservation
Create richly flavorful dishes and ferments
Our ferments are alive, nourishing, and rooted in the rhythms of the seasons and the land.
